Services for Alice Haak, 92, will be held on Tuesday, October 25, at Morton Baptist Church beginning at 2pm with Rev. Mike Brittain officiating. The family would like to welcome friends for a time of fellowship the hour prior to the service. Alice went to be with the Lord in the afternoon of Friday, October 21. Alice was born in Lufkin TX, to parents Wash and Mae Taylor on September 12, 1924. She married the love of her life, Earnest T. Haak, on November 2, 1940, and soon returned to the East Texas with her family. A member of Morton Baptist Church, she enjoyed reading, deer hunting, fishing, gardening, and was an adventurer, going skydiving for her 83rd birthday. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Earnest T. Haak, son-in-law William Lane III, and daughter-in-law Esther Haak. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shirley Lane of Harleton; son, Earnest Haak and wife Sybil of Tyler; grandchildren Steele Lane and wife Carolyn of Carrollton TX, Kelly Armstrong and husband Jay of Leesburg VA, Earnest Haak Jr. and wife Wendy of Wylie TX, Shonda Juarez and husband Carlos of Tyler, Derek Haak of Wylie TX, Stephanie Turner and husband Tim of Mansfield TX, Stacie Dewett of Bryan TX; as well as 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
