WINNIFRED GEAUTHREAUX BASS Mass of Christian Burial for Winnifred Geauthreaux Bass, 103, of Longview, will be held at 11 a.m., March 30, 2002 at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, in Longview, TX with Mnsr. John Flinn officiating. Graveside services will follow at 1 PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Shreveport, LA under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Mrs. Bass was born October 25, 1898 in Donaldsonville, LA and passed away March 29, 2002 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, TX. Mrs. Bass will be remembered for her wit and joyful personality. She was a retired legal secretary and homemaker, and a member of Saint Anthony?s Catholic Church in Longview. Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Terrell Pinckney Bass, Sr. of Longview, son, Terrell Pinckney Bass, Jr., of Longview, and granddaughter, Martha Stone Husmann of Monroe, LA and Houston, TX. Survivors include her daughter Betty Stone and husband, Harry of Monroe, LA; daughter-in-law, Jane Locke Bass of Longview, TX; grandchildren: Susan Miksa and husband Rudi, of Monroe, LA; Emily Stone Council of Fayetteville, AR; Terry Stelly and husband Vic, of Lake Charles, LA, Nancy Gray and husband Jim, of Longview, Carolyn Small, and husband Bruce of Longview.; grandson-in-law and granddaughter-in-law, Gary and Kristi Husmann of Bellaire, TX; fifteen great grandchildren: Katie Beth and David Miksa of Monroe, LA, Andrew Husmann of Austin, TX, Annelies Husmann of Bellaire, TX, Sarah Council of Baton Rouge, LA, Allison Council of Fayetteville, AR, Tracy and Mickey Fendley of Valdosta, Ga., Todd and Lori Stelly of Lake Charles, La., Toni and Lyle Hebert of Lake Charles, La., Kelly Bussey of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Casey and Troy Tobin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Scott Peters of Austin, Texas, Mark Peters of Natchitches, La., Chris Peters of San Marcos, Texas, Keith Peters of Longview, Texas, Shelli Small of Longview, Jessica and David Smith of Dallas, Texas, Bret and Patty Gray of Gilmer, Bart and Tammy Gray of Longview, and 10 great great grandchildren. Pall bearers will be great grandsons Scott, Mark, Chris, and Keith Peters, Kelly Bussey Andrew Husmann, David Miksa, and nephew Bob Bass. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 until time of services at the funeral home.
