Sharon Graves

Our beloved mother, GiGi, wife and friend, Sharon Kemper Graves, left this world for her heavenly home on the early morning of December 12, 2024, at the age of 68. Sharon was the heart of our home and family. If you knew Sharon, you knew that she never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything – especially if it involved her granddaughter, Kyra. Born to Virgina Crain Kemper and Alvin Kemper on February 8th 1956, in Galveston, Texas. Sharon attended Longview High School and Graduated in 1974. Sharon attended University of Texas at Tyler graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting. Sharon worked a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years. Sharon was many things to many people: a loyal friend, a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. Sharon devoted her life to her community and was involved in many organizations including and not limited to Zonta international & CASA Child Advocate Services, Longview Junior League, Junior Achievement. Sharon was a longtime member of The Church on Lake Cherokee. But above all, she was the heart of our family, always ready with a warm hug, a listening ear. Sharon’s life was dedicated to the service of others. She was involved in many youth organizations, Sunday school, bible study groups. Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 38 years, Randy Graves. Children Tricia Spyhalski & Trey Adams and his wife Maggie Kelley. Granddaughter Kyra Spyhalski. & along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is welcomed to her heavenly home by her Mother Virgina West, Father Alvin Kemper, Stepfather Carl West, Mother In-law Margaret Graves and Father In-Law Kennith Graves. A visitation is being held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas on Thursday, December 19th at 4PM to 6:30 PM A viewing will be held on Saturday December 21st, 2024, at 1:00 PM at The Church at Lake Cherokee. A memorial celebration of Sharon's life will begin at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Church at Lake Cherokee, a cause close to Sharon’s heart. Our Sharon, Mom and Gigi, we'll miss your sweet smile, your warm hugs, and the way you could always make us laugh, even on our worst days. We know you're up there now, smiling down on us and cheering for Kyra.
