Born on July 13, 1970, in the same tight-knit community where she would spend her entire life, Lisa's existence was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, filled with moments of deep connection, unwavering support, and genuine care for everyone around her. Lisa's journey was shared with her devoted husband, Julian Castillo, who stood by her side in a partnership that was truly the embodiment of enduring love. Their bond was further blessed with the joys of parenthood as they raised their children, Francisca Mendiola, Bernabe Alvarez, Julian Castillo and Luis Castillo. Lisa's loving nature was also bestowed upon her daughter-in-laws, Nancy Alvarez and Celia Castillo, whom she embraced as her own with open arms and a generous heart. The branches of Lisa's family tree were graced with the growth of her cherished grandchildren: Natalie Alvarez, Matthew Alvarez, Tekken Alvarez, Anthony Alvarez, Sofiya Alvarez, Damian Castillo, Delilah Castillo, and Darcy Castillo. She nurtured each grandchild with the tenderness and thoughtfulness that were the hallmark of her character, imparting lessons of compassion and empathy that will resonate through the generations. Professionally, Lisa dedicated 22 years of her life to nurturing young minds as the Assistant Director at Kandyland Kampus. She wasn’t just an employee but a cornerstone of the institution, pouring her loving spirit into the work and shaping the lives of countless children with her innate warmth and wisdom. Her colleagues and the families she worked with will remember Lisa as a reliable source of comfort and guidance, a woman whose involvement went far beyond her job description. Lisa was a person who made an indelible impact on her community. Her thoughtful nature made her an invaluable member of every group she was a part of, lighting up rooms with her presence and leaving a trail of positivity in her wake. Her service will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Noon. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 8 pm Sunday.
