Mr. Russell was my Elementary Principal. I remember one Day I would not come to School, Because i could not wear Pants to School cause it was a rule that Girls could not wear Pants TO sCHOOL, SO i STAYED HOME THAT dAY Mr RUSSELL told my Mother if i would come back to School that I could wear Pants to school so I could play baseball,and Football with the Boys. Im the one that got a Policy passed so that Girls could wear Pants to school. that is one Memory I have of Mr. Russell. Another Memory was it Got out that Mr. Russell had a Paddle wit nails in the Paddle so I was Scared of Mr Russell until I got older and got to know Mr Russell. He will be Missed a Lot. Our Prayers are with all the Family of Mr. Russell. He will be Missed and Remembered. Coach, was my Elementary Principal. He gave me my first job teaching Driver's Education for Region VII, He was also my interim Superintendent at Sabine, I have known Coach for almost 50 years, and I can tell you he was a great man and friend through thick and thin.##imported-begin##Linda Willoughby Massey##imported-end##

When I think of Mr. Russell, I think of him as always smiling. He has truly earned his place in the history of Sabine Schools. I can remember walking past his office and never seeing the door closed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Be comforted that he was so loved by so many.
