We are so sorry for the loss of your precious mother. Although we did not know your parents, our daughter, Sara, has been a recipient of one of the Homer and Velma Bryce Scholarships at SFA for the last two years. Our youngest daughter, Ashley, was just notified that she too would be receiving one of the scholarships your parents so generously endowed to so many SFA students. It takes good people in this world to be so caring and giving to young people that they don't even know personally. I pray God helps you through this time of sadness for your family.

Velma Bryce was all that was said in her obituary. She was truly a fine, creative, intelligent and kind woman of faith.
My earliest memories of her were those long ago days when she traded creative sewing secrets with Hazel Martin, and my mother, Ora Lea Griffin, who will be 99 on July 5. Mother admired your precious mommy's genteel, yet strong character and willingness to share.
