Will we ever see another Ms Shirley? I doubt it very much. She taught me every thing I know about accounting and keeping the books at the Drug Store. Some days I would get hugs and sweet smiles; other days I would get those displeased hands on her hips. What a great LADY. I'll remember always when she started working for dad (LOUIS MORGAN) at Louis Morgan Drug No 1 on South High ST. Then it was double entry bookkeeping all by hand and no electric adding machines, just poke in the numbers and pull the handle. WOW! you got the right answer. Ms Shirley was always to the penny, and I mean to the PENNY. I will always always remember Ms Shirley with great knowledge of accounting of which she taught all to herself. Her devotion all those years to LOUIS MORGAN DRUG was more than outstanding . I will miss her dearly. Stephen Morgan

She took care of and loved me and my sister to the fullest of anybody I know and I truly loved her for that, she inspired me to achieve anything I wanted to do that I would enjoy and make me happy. I always told her that I loved her for what she did for us and I never missed a day that I didn’t feel the love she had for all of us, she will always be missed in my life cause she made everything happen for us growing up to adults. I met Shirley at the Institute for Healthy Living in an exercise class that Mark Wisdom led. My husband Jerry had met her while they both volunteered at Good Shepherd’. She was a pretty, smart, and caring women. I send my condolences to her family.

I respected Aunt Shirley throughout the many years we knew each other and always thought she was ahead of her time. I always Admired her independence. During her later years as a volunteer, when I made early morning Rounds at the hospital, I enjoyed Our visits so much. Her mind stayed so sharp and it was impressive! She will be missed! DD Johnson

I was privileged to know and work alongside Shirley when I worked for Mr. Louis Morgan in the late 60s. She was such a beautiful and kind lady. She was a wonderful mentor to a young teenage girl.
She was a servant and friend to all who knew her. May God grant you peace during this sad time.
