Hi Tommy. I was so saddened to find out that your mom had passed away. Micki just happened upon the obit. I was in Henderson in April and asked a few people in town if they knew your mom or where she lived. I wished I had tried years ago. Your mom was one of the biggest influences in my life. She always had time for the little girl next door. I spent many hours with her while all you big kids were at school. She taught me how to make so many different things back in her little craft area in the den. I'm sure I drove her crazy coming in and out of the house all day. I'll never forget the day that mom, your mom, and I went fishing and took a picnic lunch while everyone was at school. I got to do a lot with her while you, Micki, and Glenda were at school! She was so loving and kind to me and to my family. I loved her dearly. My childhood is filled with wonderful memories of you, Glenda, and your mom and dad. Mom we lost daddy in 2003 and Micki live next door to each other in Yantis, TX on Lake Fork. We sure would love to see you sometime. Dear Tommy. When we moved to Grand Prairie Texas in 1956 Hays and Nelwyn were members of the church Harold Patored. We came to love them very much. They always stood by us in our work for the Lord. Your mother and my mother grew up together. Nellwyn was very dear to my mom. She help her thru some terrible times after her dad killed himself. My mom often spoke of how much she loved Nelwyn. My mom, Monnie Bess Woods Jones died in 2008. I wish I had known your mother, I'm sure she was an angel on earth. At least she was to my mother. Tommy, you had the most wonderful parents. Your Mom was my Sunday School teacher at Ebenezer 1949-50.My dad, Havis McBryde was pastor our family was very close to your parents.
Had some good times.Your Mom pierced all the girls at Ebenezer ears,we were all there waiting.
Everyone got theirs done & I fainted your Mom told my Mom let's do the other one before she comes to & they did. They took Kay Rushton & I on vacation to San Antonio, it was wonderful.
Glenda was flower girl in my wedding we could not get her to stand up, she would sit down and sure enough she sat down during wedding everyone laughed. We all were so sad when they moved to Grand Paririe but got to visit as well as when they moved by Mr & Mrs. Simpson.Visited with your Mom in home and some good laughs. Talked to her in December planned another trip this summer. She sounded so good. Wish we could have been at funeral just couldn't make it. You & Family are in our prayers.
