Lewis Hardy ?Buba? Slusser, age 74, of Kilgore, Texas peacefully ended his courageous battle with cancer on October 17, 2004. Buba was born in Smackover, Arkansas on November 16, 1929, the second of ten children born to Joseph And Read Obituary

Even though I didn't know Buba well, I felt I knew him through you. He must have been a great individual to have such a loving and caring wife. You did all you could, Kid! I know it was difficult for you during the last few months, but he knew you did everything humanlly possible for him and you were there to care for him at all times, night and day.

Whenever I drove around West Austin and went by your Dad?s house, I thought about him. Although I had been around Buba a few times in all these years, I could not help but think of his stature as a humble hard working man, who always had a great smile, and who loved his family?.especially his daughter, Cathy. I could always see the pride he carried for you.
