Leonard James Harness, 56, of Longview passed away on Thursday morning at his home. Leonard was born on August 8, 1957 in San Francisco, CA to James and Diana Harness. He was a longtime resident of Longview and was self-employed. Read Obituary
Leonard was a good friend when we rode motorbikes as kids, I used to like to watch him play his drums he would really get into it and sounded good too.I would run into him around town every now and then and he was still the same Leonard I remember always a pleasure to be around.I will miss running into my friend and talking about old times.

I remember going fishing with him and my dad early in the morning - I was the "fashionable fisherman" as they both called me! My grandfather and his dad were brothers. He was a walking history book with the kindest heart! May God Bless the Family during this time of rememberance!

##imported-begin##Mary Ward##imported-end##Leonard was a special man to our family. My Dad, Chubby James W Rice, has a rare form of Lou Gehrig's disease. When he could no longer get in & out of his wheelchair & sleeping recliner, Leonard would come early in the morning & lift him out of his recliner back into his wheelchair. In the evening, he would return & put Daddy "back to bed"~in any kind of weather~He was so faithful! We could not have kept Daddy at home as long as we did without his kind assistance...He's also kept our yard for many years, since Daddy could not. It was a special surprise to bring Mother home from her recent knee replacement surgery & find the yard perfectly manicured!
He was always helpful & funny & full of information! We loved to see Leonard coming! We pray his family will find comfort in the many happy memories Leonard made for so many of us! We loved him & will miss him so much~With Love & Prayers,
