I am the seventh child of Alvia and Viola Houck. My memories of Mr. and Mrs. Moncrief visiting Hico are all of friends and warm feelings. I know my dad though very highly of him. I remember the family being at the Hico Memorial Service each May and standing proudly when their name was called. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. I understand the feelings of loss of a loved one. Lean on the Heavenly Father to see you through this time.

We use to live in Dubach near Mr.Howard Barnett and we wanted to go fishing, somewhere no one would bother us... so we knocked on Mr.Leonards door one day....he let us fish in his pond...we told him we would keep it clean and and we did....... we had good times there . . . .I cant tell him thanks but to his family I will say thanks.... Leonard was a few years older than myself, but we both grew up and attended school in Hico. I have always remembered him as an honest upright gentleman.
