James thought the world of Joe, and has fond memories from their high school days in Tallulah. He was so happy to reconnect with Joe a few years ago, and talk on the phone with him every few months. We have his CD, and will think of him fondly every time we listen to it now. Just know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My wife and I are at a loss after loosing our brother in Christ and close friend. Joe was a servant of the Most High God. He was there to help anyone in need and would go out of his way to help showing he belongs to Christ. He would share Christ with anyone who would listen. Joe knew the word and was a doer of the word also. I don't know how to describe my friendship with Joe. There are only a few people blessed enough to meet a man like Joe in a lifetime and I was Blessed by meeting him. He is at the top of my list of special people. We love you Brother and know we will see you again.

I was saddened today to hear this news. Although I live in Dallas, Joe had helped so much with taking care of our little cabin at Crestwood. He would always call me if something needed tending to, and cheerfully helped me get things done.

Joe was just the kind of man that you felt you had known your whole life. You could tell he had a kind heart.

I would have made the trip out for his service had I known at that time. My most sincere condolences to his big family and friends. I will fondly remember this man.

I live here in the harbor... I am not a very social person but I have been to the church and I know Joe ... because he was just that kind of a person.. he was always there to help and smile... I am truly saddened at the loss of this dear man... I can only imagine the pain his family is in.. praying they find comfort... It is strange how a person may go through their life and not really know how they touched someone else as the traveled along life's pathway... Joe was this very rare kind of person...

When I first saw the obituary and the name, I prayed it wasn't so. I had known Joe from going to church with him for several years. He and his wife Noelle spent time with my daughter Jennifer when she was little. Joe was the most up-standing man I have ever known. He and his wife Noelle are amazing people and this world has truly lost someone special.

Moak family, you are in my prayers as you go through this difficult time.
