James David Alexander was born in Longview, Texas, to George and Olga Alexander and passed from this life on January 5, 2021, at age 81. David grew up in the oil fields of East Texas, living in White Oak until he left for Baylor i Read Obituary
David and I were high school classmates and football team mates at White Oak High School in the 1950's. I was always somewhat in awe of his athletic ability and his scholastic ability so I was not really surprised to learn of his work at NASA during the moon flights. I remember him to be staunchly faithful to his religion and could always be trusted to do the right thing in his interactions with people.
I will always remember David as a loyal and faithful husband, neighbor and citizen of the little community of White Oak, his beloved home town.

It was our pleasure to know Dave and Sandy at Nassau Bay and Sagemont Baptist churches through many years. We shared their love of sacred music, especially quartet music! Our prayers are with all of you and we cherish Dave's memory!

We will always remember David as a special friend. He accomplished much in his lifetime, yet remained a down to earth and caring person who loved his Lord, his family and friends. David suffered much, yet did not complain. We also loved to listen to Dave and his quartet sing - now he can sing for his Lord. He will be greatly missed , but may all who loved him, even as they grieve be comforted by the fact that David no longer is suffering and in pain and with his Lord.

One of my favorite memories. Daddy David was always so loving and always treated me as one of his own. He referred to me as his daughter by choice. Life will be a little dimmer without his great hugs and beautiful blue eyes. He now has a front row seat to all the sports his heart desires. Rest in peace Daddy David.
