I have many memories of visiting Longview Drug with my parents who were good friends with George. He always had the biggest smile and a wonderful laugh. He always had a joke to share. A very fine man!

George and my father were great friends and I miss them both; especially when they were together trading barbs. He was an American success story and a great friend to many in the Longview area. We will all miss his wit and spirit.

As a 9th grader at Longview High School, I became a good friend with Mike, and was soon introduced to his dad, George. For many years, when downtown, I always stopped by the store to say, "hi." George always had a smile a kind word, or a bit of advice to impart. As the years passed, his empathy for others never diminished. I have been gone from Texas for many years, but this is one of the wonderful memories that will alwaysvremain. Sleep well, George, and know you made a difference.

George was a good friend and a great pharmacist for several generations of longview citizens. As a fellow pharmacist George set the bar high to follow. We will miss him.
