Mae was my wife’s grandmother and was one of the sweetest and kindest people that I have had the privilege to know. She made me feel like I was her grandson and I always thought of her as a grandmother too. She was one of the most important people in my life for the last 29 years. I can not brag enough about how great this 96 year old woman was and how I loved every minute of listening to the stories she told me about her life growing up. It was like stepping back in time with 96 years of history. She was such a big part of mine and Vonda’s life and there was nothing my kids/ her great grandkids could do wrong in her eyes. I know that all of them will miss her as we all will.

Grandma Gober helped Grandpa Gober raise me from the 2nd grade on, A fact for which I will 4 ever b grateful. I remember there always being kids there growing up....that's when Grandma was at her happiest was when she had someone 2 look after.....Fly high Grandma now u can look after us from above!!!!!
Mae Gober was my aunt and she and my mom Anita Kurtz looked so much alike that when I saw my aunt Mae I saw my mom. They both had hearts of gold that were as big as they were tall. They were always so kind, compassionate, and loving and they are back together now with there husbands and other family members. Rejoice in our Lord and Savior. Ted Kurtz

Aunt Mae had spunk! She loved to laugh, was an amazing cook and seamstress and wouldn’t hesitate to set you straight. Although Texas and Indiana seemed a long way apart, she was influenced me in so many wonderful ways. I looked forward to our summer visits and when I first became a mother I knew where I wanted to spend Mother’s Day — with her. She and my mom were like twins and oh, the stories they could tell!
