It was a joy having Eva as my step-mother for the past 20 (or so) years. She was always happy and a barrel of fun. Dad used to joke that I came to see her instead of him because we would go shopping and out running around. Eva’s faith was evident at all times. Janet, Joyce, Jim and Julie will always remain dear to my heart. I will miss Eva but I know she is with Dad and they are talking up a storm!

I could share memories of Eva all day. Everytime Joey came over Eva would come and have lunch with us. The last time he was here, my mom got back home with the food and Joey told me he was going to hold my hand and walk me to the table. About that time Eva walked in and he let got of me and ran over to Eva, "Miss Eva, Joey came to see you!" Well, he left me standing in the middle of the living room. My friend Anna, Joey's sister, told me she thought I had lost my boyfriend!!!
Joey is 58 but he's mentally challenged, so he's about 4 years old. But he knows Miss Eva is with Jesus so he doesn't have to worry about her any more. He really hit it off her, just right away. Whenever I talked to him on the phone the first thing out of his mouth was how is Miss Eva, how is her dog, and does she still have her car. He was crazy about her.
I was cutting the tag out of the back of a blouse today and it brought back all the times I've done that and cut the fabric, and carried it next door for Eva to fix!! She fussed at me everytime I did it and told me to stop, and bring it over and let her cut the tag out. But she always had fabric glue and she always fixed it!! I helped her tie MANY baby blankets. Actually, she taught me how to make one. I had a lot of fun with ol' mother, and I loved her so much. She looks beautiful in the picture, just like she always did. You can see the love of our Lord shining through her eyes, and she lived her love of our Lord every day. I will miss her terribly as I know you all will too. But we will all be reunited again one day soon
