My memories of Don go back to when we met in Bowie, Tx then became neighbors. Our children Rhonda, Jerry Dale, Shannon, & Jeremy were friends. They were transferred by KOCH to Kilgore which was mine & Larry's hometown. Lots of good times. Don helped us through rough time when my husband Larry was killed in car accident 1978. The first time I met Don, he welcomed me as if I was one of his family, and later, we did become family, so to speak, when our daughter married Don and Bonnie's son, Donnie. Both Don and Bonnie have always been the kindest, most generous people I know. They sent lots of yummy veggies home with me from their garden, lots of instructions on how and when to plant what, and just some good, down to earth, Southern charm. Don you will be greatly missed when I come to visit the kids in Texas.
I am so sorry for y’all’s loss! Losing such a wonderful daddy, as Don was, is a very heartbreaking ordeal!! My heart and prayers go out to each and every one of y’all! God Bless!! 🙏 💕
