I regret I did not have an opportunity to get to know her; however, the intelligent and talented daughters and grandchildren I was blessed to know are a positive reflection of her influence. Mrs. Payton was a very special lady. We met over 50 years ago and she became my good friend. We had many wonderful visits when she would shop in Albertsons where I worked. She was very kind hearted and always brought a smile to my face. I'm so thankful for our short visit in June before I retired.and I will always cherish our last hug.
I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful lady. I was so blessed to have known her. It was always a pleasure to assist Mrs. Payton and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and I appreciate your sweet friendship so much.
