Heartfelt sympathy on the loss of Mrs. Mullikin. I remember her driving up and down LeDuke, head tilted to one side, probably having just delivered or retrieved one of the boys. She always was gracious to me when I hung around your homeswapping shoes with Ronnie and taking up space at the lake house. Athalia has been a friend of mine for many years and blessed my life in many ways. We taught Sunday School Class together in the '60's when our children were growing up. We worked in FUMC Library together for the past 13 years. She was a most sweet, kind, helpful person and always such a lady. My sincere condolences to all members of Athalia's family, including her husband, sons, their wives chilren and granchildren. Athalia was one of my and my sister, Bettie Brooks Smithson's favorite cousins. I can remember driving from Dallas to Teague with our parents "Doc and Suzie" each summer to visit with Uncle George, Aunt Etta May, Athalia and J.D., when my sister Bettie Brooks Smithson, Deceased and passed through on November 11, 2005. We always had a great time. Athalia always had a great sense of humor and good things to say about just about everone. She was an excellent cook, part of which could be attributed to her Mother.
